I recently had a wedding consolation with lovely couple Gemma & Rob to discuss their plans for their wedding at The Boathouse, Ormesby later this year, which has inspired me to wrIte a little blog about this fantastic wedding venue and to show a few images from two weddings I covered at The Boathouse last year.

The Boathouse website says that it "offers a magical experience in a tranquil and picturesque setting for your wedding celebration" and as my images above, below and to the right illustrate it really has a superb outlook overlooking the calm waters of Ormesby Broad.

There is a wooden decking area at The Boathouse overlooking the Broad which makes an ideal area for guests to admire the views and when weather permits hold the wedding ceremony in the open air. Additionally brides can opt to arrive in style via 'Gentleman Jim' a launch that departs from The Waterside venue further along the waterway.

There is a large ceremony room for when the weather is inclement which has seating for family and guests.  The room also features large sliding glass doors which can be opened onto the large decking area outside.

When weather permits the ceremony to be held outside there is a stylish wooden pergoda for the couple to be married in front of and for shade when signing their marriage certificate.

'Wedding breakfast' is served in a large modern room which features sizeable windows to facilitate excellent light and views over the broad. There is a natural flow between the ceremony room, private bar area, 'breakfast' room and outside decking area for guests to leisurely move between the different areas whether to enjoy the views or to take in the joys of the wedding couple.

...and finally a big big thank you to lovely couples Helen & Dale and Hannah & Scott; two beautiful brides, two handsome grooms and two wonderful weddings at The Boathouse, Ormesby.
